HEATING RANGE
Innovation at the heart of our heating range
Racer is a journey, a heritage, a French know-how since 1927 that are the permanent pillars of the brand.
As glove makers since our beginnings, we have allied ourselves with passionate and daring individuals, be it the pioneers of the first French expedition to the Himalayas in the last century, Jean Claude Killy, Annie Famose, Marielle Goitschel or the American or Japanese athletes at the 1968 Grenoble Olympics, the legendary motorcycle racer Jean Claude Nowak in the 1970s or Franky Zapata, the flying man at the end of the 2010s.
All have contributed to the fame of Racer products. As an essential ingredient for overtaking and the ally of exploits, we place innovation at the forefront with products that constantly evolve to surpass expectations.
In our workshops, tradition is combined with new technologies to give us unlimited possibilities to create the perfect glove for every purpose.
At Racer, we know that protection is the key to confidence. We are committed to creating high quality gloves every day through a combination of sleek design, unparalleled comfort and continuous innovation.
At the heart of our creation is making the Racer experience accessible to all by making products that fit all body types and styles of movement, freeing bodies from restriction. Produced by enthusiasts for enthusiasts, we combine pleasure, comfort and serenity, because you can only surpass yourself with a free spirit.
1982
The first heated gloves
We have always aspired to offer the best in technology and comfort, so that we no longer have to worry about the cold. In 1982, the first heated Racer glove was created for motorcycles. This model was the first important step in our efforts to become the world's reference in heated products, and since then we have continued to develop our models.
2010
The birth of IWARM®.
In 2010, we partnered with the French Army Biomedical Research Institute to create our first intelligent heating system named IWARM®. Designed to meet the extremely specialized needs of the French army while remaining simple to use for any individual, our heated gloves are tested and approved by one of the most demanding institutions in the world.
2021/22
One objective: to simplify use and offer a product at the cutting edge of technological advances
Our new IWARM® 2.3 heating system effectively regulates the temperature all around your hand and fingertips ensuring warmth all the way to your fingertips. This state-of-the-art version features a new, intelligent electronic element integrated into the system's start button, which is now found only in one glove. The second glove is fully controlled by the first glove via Bluetooth radio communication.
These developments simplify the use and operation of the gloves. In addition, this new version records all events in a memory of the module, allowing to analyze the use of the glove and to considerably reduce the return rate, already the lowest on the market.
To start the system, the simplicity of use for the consumer was at the heart of the development, just press the button on the first glove for a few seconds to launch the system, then a blue light flashes, signifying the connection of the first glove to the second.
The choice of heating intensity has also been simplified with two modes "Moderate & Intense" identified by a different light effect always allowing to reach a temperature of 41 degrees Celsius inside the gloves.
The system is still composed of two batteries that can be connected independently to each glove, thus allowing an excellent heat diffusion on each hand.
The use of graphene in down jackets
Discover without further delay our latest development in the world of heating technologies: graphene. The integration of graphene and the implementation of new modules designed in-house by our ingenious designers allow us to offer the best innovations in the industry. This technology is available now on the District Men and District Women heated jackets.
What is graphene?
It's a carbon fiber-based material whose hexagonal structure at the atomic level gives it revolutionary tear resistance and thermal capabilities. We use it in the form of foldable heating sheets, heat-bonded between the insulating layers inside the jackets to cover a larger heating area.
The heat can then be spread evenly, similar to a natural experience for better comfort.
Another advantage of graphene, and not the least, is that it uses much less energy than the heating wires of previous generations of Racer products.
